Terms of service
Last updated: 3 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Touchline, the football tournament platform. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. The short version: run your events fairly, only upload people’s data — especially children’s — when you have the right and the consent to do so, and remember that public pages are public.
1. The service
Touchline lets organizers create and run football tournaments, coaches enter teams and manage squads, and players follow their record. Live events publish a public page with fixtures, results, standings, honours, team and player pages.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 18 to hold an organizer or coach account. Player accounts for minors may only be created and used with a parent or guardian's involvement.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, abuse the service or put other users — particularly children — at risk.
3. Responsibilities around children's data
This is the clause that matters most. If you are an organizer or coach entering details of players under 18, you warrant that:
- You have the authority (from your club and from each player's parent or guardian) to enter their name, date of birth, position, shirt number and photo.
- You obtain parental consent before a minor takes part in an event — Touchline's consent-form flow exists for this and we expect you to use it or an equivalent.
- You understand that taking an event live publishes squad lists, stats and photos on public pages, and you have made parents aware of this.
- You will promptly action any parent's request to correct, hide or remove their child's data, and pass it to us where needed.
If we become aware of a minor’s data uploaded without proper authority or consent, we may remove it without notice.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload — team crests, photos, event descriptions, rules. You grant us the licence needed to host and display it, including on the public pages you choose to publish. You must have the rights to anything you upload; don’t upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or inappropriate for an audience that includes children.
5. Acceptable use
- No attempting to access other users' data or accounts.
- No scraping, bulk-harvesting or re-publishing of personal data from public pages.
- No use of the service to harass, endanger or profile children.
- No interfering with the operation or security of the service.
6. Availability & disclaimers
Touchline is provided “as is”. We work to keep it fast and available on match day, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not a party to your events: fixtures, refereeing decisions, eligibility rulings and disputes belong to the organizer. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us to use it (currently: nothing).
7. Privacy
How we handle personal data — including retention and deletion — is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Changes & contact
We may update these terms as the product evolves; significant changes will be noted here with a new date, and continued use after a change means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
